WELL HIYA, SHINY NEW BLOG.
So, I've finally jumped on to the blogging bandwagon. I'm hoping to have the mother of all 'creative' summers, and I have been advised that a small, homely corner of the internet is a good step forward as a creative outlet. Therefore, on this little page, I hope to maintain a steady stream of "Adventures* in Yellow Stitching" - that is, certain meanderings of life in which I (generally speaking) wear my yellow-sutured, and beloved, Dr Martens. (Dey are sum comfy shoes.)
The most crackin' of adventures has happened to me this year, which leads me nicely onto a goodbye...
ADIEU, FIRST YEAR OF UNIVERSITY. It's been proper nice, it has.
I've formed a real emotional attachment with the city of Durham. I only live a mere 20 miles away from the place normally, but I canny get enough of the little gem.
Durham adventure highlights include:
Finding the most wonderful friends, who indulge you in your love of bunting, and who are generally just wonderful (sob, sob, cringe, cringe).
Going to a winter ball with a giant and glowing Aslan face.
Pretending our life is something off Pinterest
Making a home away from home
Having a whale of a time in yellow fields.
(That moment captured by the marvellous Caspian James - see more of his photography genius here: http://caspianjames-adventure.blogspot.co.uk/)
Being lucky enough to find extremely musical and lovely people to make folky tunes with.
Being weird with me weird mates and that. This is Veggie, Gingey and me.
Waaaaa. GOODBYE, DURHAM. (Probably see you at the weekend) but officially see you in October, you gorgeous slice of Northern England.
* Can't promise Swallows and Amazons.
